Here’s a company bringing new ideas to the meaning of passenger comfort

There are many nuances and details involved in business aviation and one of the most important elements to consider is customer comfort.  After all, these are people who have selected the non-commercial option in order to do business more efficiently and with as little hassle as possible. It’s easy to understand that they will have high expectations for service and comfort. Aircraft manufacturers who understand this will deliver ever increasing product features and benefits to bare.

That’s why we were interested to see Bombardier’s recent announcement (April 30, 2018) introducing their new Nuage Seat, something they bill as “the first new seat architecture in business aviation in three decades”.  We are fans of Bombardier having worked closely with them for many years as an EIS partner and this new development reminds us of their commitment to our industry and its customers. As our business continues to grow in the aircraft management and charter segments, we’re always interested in what the future will bring in terms of innovation of any kind that will ultimately deliver greater customer value.

Introduced on the Global 7000 aircraft (launching in late 2018), the Nuage Seat is ergonomically designed, taking into consideration every conceivable passenger need while flying. One of the most interesting features is a patented tilt link reclining system that “dips” the seat as the back is reclined which provides better support, literally cradling the passenger.  This eliminates that unnatural position passengers are forced into in standard aircraft seats where the only thing that moves is the back.  Read more about the Nuage here:  https://www.bombardier.com/en/media/newsList/details.bba_20180430_bombardier-unveils-the-nuage-seat–with-first-new-s.bombardiercom.html

The seat looks and sounds like a winning design and we can only hope that this kind of innovation may be available for refits and on other aircraft someday.  And now that it’s launched, we’re sure other business aviation aircraft manufacturers will up their game as well.  The result can only be a future that offers increased customer satisfaction and we can’t argue with that!
