EBACE – Has it been a year already and should you attend again?

Time flies… and so do we! We were surprised to find ourselves talking about and looking forward to EBACE 2019 this past week.  It seems like such a short while ago that the industry gathered in Geneva for the premier global business aircraft event of the year, but now it’s just over 6 weeks away until May 21-23.

Like many of you, we suspect, it can be a challenge to make the commitment to attend EBACE in the face of busy schedules, customer demands and financial challenges.  We always have to sit down and consider whether there’s enough upside to attend or whether we should just follow the stories and information coming out of the event via news and social media.  Ultimately, we almost always decide that not attending will leave us short in terms of the networking and important meetings we can organize when just about everyone we want to talk to will likely be there.

After all, when you’re trying to grow a global business, EBACE offers not just access to the people and organizations you may want to connect with, but it keeps you up to speed on the latest technologies and trends that can help you identify how your own business needs to evolve going forward.  By taking our core leadership team to this event every year we’re able to spread out and cover a lot of ground for meetings and gathering a lot of important intelligence along the way.  Last year we even brought our new marketing guy with us to help fast track his education into the industry.

So, when all things are considered, we’ve found that even with travel, meals and accommodation, the cost per contact with customers and suppliers is dramatically reduced with everyone in the same place at the same time.  Add to that the knowledge and new connections we make and the value becomes evident as we put strategies together for evolving and scaling our business for the coming year.

Should you attend EBACE this year?  We think so.
